I'm Lux — a storyteller who fell in love with the slowness of film.
In a world that moves fast and shoots faster, I choose the deliberate act of loading a roll, setting the exposure, and trusting the light. Film photography and Super 8 video demand presence, and that presence is what makes the images they produce so alive.
Based in Toronto, I shoot weddings, portraits, and moments worth preserving. My background in design and communications shapes how I see a frame — not just as a capture, but as a composition, a feeling, a small piece of someone's story made permanent.
I shoot on 35mm and on a Canon 310XL Super 8 camera. I love the grain. I love the wait. I love handing someone a photo that they'll still have in forty years.
Analog, always
Every image is captured on real film — no digital backups, no safety net. That commitment is what makes each frame matter.
Slow & intentional
Film has a finite number of frames. I use that constraint as a creative tool, not a limitation. Every shot is a choice.
